Since Care Stream operates primarily on-device, no third-party APIs have access to your raw speech inputs, notes, or transcriptions. In the event you use integrated operating system features (such as standard OS-level speech models), processing remains strictly governed by your device's native privacy settings.

MindfulMurmur is engineered as a local-first, offline-capable productivity application.

  • account_circle Zero Registration or Account Credentials: The application operates strictly without user accounts, profiles, logins, or credential frameworks. We do not ask for, collect, or store your name or email address.
  • mic_off On-Device Voice Transcription Processing: The app requests Microphone Access strictly to capture audio for your notes. All audio-to-text decoding is managed completely offline via our integrated, open-source local translation layout library (Whisper architecture). Your raw audio files and text transcripts never leave your physical hardware.
  • photo_library Local Photo Library Access: The app requests Photo Gallery / Library Access solely to enable you to pick and attach images locally to your private notes. No images or photographic files are uploaded or transmitted to external networks.
  • location_on Optional Location Access: The app optionally requests Location Access strictly to retrieve current local weather conditions for your journal entries. Your location coordinates are used transiently to query the weather API and are never stored, logged, or shared with any external server.
  • cloud_off No Cloud Backups or Telemetry Traps: All your notes, audio fragments, and attached images are stored locally on your device's internal application database sandbox. We maintain zero-knowledge visibility over your note inputs.

The Accessibility service operates 100% locally and ephemerally. The application does not collect, record, log, or transmit any typed text, background interactions, or keystrokes observed by the service. All parsing occurs strictly on-device.

keyboard Keyboard (IME) Service Declaration

The application declares an Android Input Method Editor (IME) keyboard service (InlineMathKeyboardService) to facilitate custom mathematical character selections and inline values output injections directly to your input fields.

IME Privacy Guarantee:

We do not track, collect, monitor, or upload any inputs, formulas, or numbers typed through the keyboard service.

Users may optionally enable diagnostic logging under the "Support Development" settings menu to assist in troubleshooting app behavior and crash reports.

The application requests microphone access (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO) solely to capture voice recordings for multilingual speech-to-text dictation notes (supporting English, Hindi, and Gujarati).

Privacy Guarantee:

Voice dictations are processed locally on your physical hardware using native C++ transcription models. No spoken audio fragments, transcription logs, or text outputs are recorded or shared by Care Stream.

The application functions as a system-wide custom keyboard Input Method Editor (IME) via VoiceKeyboardService to inject transcribed dictations and text edits directly into target inputs.

IME Privacy Guarantee:

The IME service processes keystrokes and dictate inputs strictly locally. It does not monitor, log, save, or upload typed texts, clipboard history contents, passwords, or personal credentials.
